PASSION.

Driving force

In addition to my full-time job in design, I am actively involved in photography. Since I have a sharp eye for detail, form, composition, atmosphere and environment, I try to capture this on the 'sensitive plate' in my own unique way. In addition to my own work, I also photograph on commission.

My areas of interest are very broad, including portrait, model, architecture, product and artistic photography.

The challenge is to capture the image you have in mind in the most interesting way possible for me, bringing together many aspects. Think, among other things, expression, story, emotion, but also composition and atmosphere. Sometimes the image is arranged, but often it is 'the momentum'.

The most important thing is that the image sticks, that you sometimes have to look twice so that the message gets through or that there is a connection in an entire series. However, it can also just be a catchy photo of a person, where you can capture his or her character. Or an artistic photo that is strong in image and form.

Everyone can take a photo, they say, but experiencing a photo and being able to experience or discover a deeper layer transcends the original image and that is the power of a good photographer.

WHAT'S IN A NAME.

Bontir studios

What does Bontir studios mean? Bontir is a combination of 2 French words: Bon & Tirer, this loosely translates to 'One shot right'. In addition, you also have 'Bon a tirer' which means 'Proofs designated by the artist to serve as a benchmark'. Bon also stands for beautiful and good, which gives additional expression to the image that a photo consists of. Tirer stands for shooting.

These 2 French key words have been transformed into 'BONTIR' which makes the meaning: 'one shot right'.

BACKGROUND.

Background

My background is product design, I have a strong sense of color, shape, appearance and details, which are immediately reflected in my photography. I am also a perfectionist in that regard.

As a photographer I try to distinguish my photos with their own signature, often they are sleek images where perspective, story and detail come together. I usually work on location with natural light. I also have a portable studio for model, portrait or product photography.

I founded a photo club in Nuenen called Photo Club Momentum where I am chairman, it is an active association that keeps each other sharp.

I am also sometimes active as a jury member.

Studio

I have the opportunity to set up a studio at home to do portrait, model or product shoots, among other things. This can of course also be done on location. I have different backgrounds and lights available.

TFP shoots

TFP shoots is a way to expand your portfolio of both the model and the photographer (so-called return favor). If you wish, we can discuss this in consultation about the possibilities.

I work from Nuenen (near Eindhoven), traveling is possible, costs in consultation.
